Club Rules

All members must display their name and frequency on a small board, which will be sited at an agreed place in the middle of the pit area. Allocated frequencies must be adhered to.

Engines must not, for any reason be run higher than idle speed whilst in, or in close proximity to the pit area.

Pilots must always keep their aircraft in the designated areas and under no circumstances fly in, near or over the pit area as defined by the markers. Air Navigation order 56 says, "a person shall not recklessly or negligently cause or permit an aircraft to endanger persons or property".

Any computer radio with PCM failsafe activated must ensure that the throttle / engine must be brought back to run at it's lowest speed and not to hold it's last position.

Licence & Ministry of Agriculture Rules.

(Environmentally sensitive area)

These following conditions are specified by the Landowner & Estates Department. Any member who ignores them must be aware that even a single contravention of any of them may jeopardise our licence. Therefore any contravention may result in their membership being summarily terminated.

Access to the site is to be via the gate and hard track only. Any member who believes that they might cause damage to the grass, ground etc must not attempt to bring their vehicle into the site. Members must not access the site by any other route.

Any gate must be kept closed and only opened for the minimum amount of time required to pass their vehicle through. The gate must be locked at all other times and it will be the responsibility of the last person to leave to check that the gate is locked.

Any gate or access to the site including any defined paths in the vicinity must not be blocked by any vehicles, aircraft or equipment.

Vehicles are to be kept in the designated pit area and must not for any reason be driven outside of this area.

Members will be required to carry, whilst on site, their membership and BMFA card which must be produced for inspection when requested to do so, by an authorised agent of the Landowner.

The gate code is not to be given to non-members, any member found doing so will be asked to leave and will have their membership summarily terminated.

These rules are a supplement to the club constitution, the BMFA code of practice, the guidelines of the BRCHA and any terms specified in the licence.

ACCEPTANCE OF MEMBERSHIP IS AN UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES.
