Welcome to the Plymouth Heli’s new website, we are the largest dedicated Radio Controlled Model Helicopter Club in Plymouth.

Formed in 1999, there are approx 40 members who between them fly a variety of models both pod & boom and scale. The club is affiliated to the B.M.F.A. (British Model Flying Association) and all members must have B.M.F.A. insurance which will be arranged on joining.

Our flying site is a short drive from Plympton, on private land and is for model helicopter flying only (no fixed wing). For details of site location see “Find Us”. Vehicle entry to the site is through a locked gate to which only club members have access. Visitors are requested to use the adjacent pedestrian gate and avoid walking in areas where models are being flown.

New members are always welcome, so if you would like to join or maybe just find out more information about the hobby, you will normally find us (weather & light permitting) at the flying site on Saturday, Sunday morning up to around 12:30, Tuesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon.

The Club Membership period is December to November, not part thereof. The BMFA insurance period is January to December, not part thereof.
